Moving Micah...

Remember WKYT (Lexingon, Kentucky) Micah Harris?

Harris is the weatherman that refused to give potentially life saving information to viewers on Facebook, because Facebook doesn't pay him.

When asked about the possibility of tornados in the area, Harris replied with this:

Back in April, FTVLive wrote, "Mr. Harris, your job is about people's safety, you are paid to do that. Thankfully most TV Meteorologist don't think like you and are more than happy and feel obligated to give viewers all the information they need, no matter what the platform."

Well now it appears that Harris has been reassigned at the station. FTVLive obtained an internal memo sent out to the staff by News Director Robert Thomas.

On June 5, meteorologist Jim Caldwell  will  take over weekday morning and noon weather for WKYT and WDKY.  Jim started at WKYT in 2013 after a great run as chief meteorologist at WYMT in Hazard, where he had worked since 2001.  In April, the Kentucky Associated Press Broadcasters honored him as the best TV weather anchor in the state for division one which includes all the stations in the Lexington and Louisville markets.  While at WYMT, Jim was a two-time winner in the same category among the smaller markets in Kentucky.

Micah Harris will be transitioning to another role within the building and will be reporting to Jeff Anderson.

I don't know what Jeff Anderson does, but I hope to God he is the chief janitor at the station.
