That's Not Going to Be Good for His Defense

Phillip Greenhowe is accused of  killing his estranged wife and what he told a Harrisburg TV station, most likely made his lawyer cringe.

While cops lead  him out of court, Greenhowet turned to WHP Reporter Lara Greenberg and said, "Did I kill my wife? Yeah, absolutely I did,"  He then called the murdered woman a derogatory name.

Greenhowe was arrested in January at an Atlanta homeless shelter days after police discovered Shalamar Greenhowe's body.

We'll go out on a limb here and predict he will be found guilty of the crime.

MSNBC Stuck Between a Rock and Hard Place with Al Sharpton

MSNBC's ratings are tanking so bad that the network is basically going to give up and start over.

That may or may not happen with Phil Griffin running the network. Word is that Griffin is on such thin ice at the network that the slightest misstep and he will be gone.

The only thing that is keeping Griffin around right now is that new NBC Boss Andy Lack needs to focus on the mothership before worrying about the train wreck that is MSNBC.

Sources say that MSNBC is this/close to completely blowing up their schedule and starting over from scratch. The only shows that look like they will survive is Morning Joe and The Rachel Maddow show.

It is expected that in the next couple of weeks MSNBC will announce that they are pulling the plug, "All In with Chris Hayes."

It is likely that Hayes will get handed his walking papers and be pushed out the door.

Then there is Politics Nation which is hosted by tax cheat Al Sharpton. Word is that MSNBC would love to cancel Sharpton's show as well and there is doubt that is what they should do.

But, if the Peacock pushes Sharpton out, you can bet the Rev. Al will be staging protests and it is not the kind of publicity they need right now.

So, it is likely that MSNBC will move Sharpton's show to the weekends and Rev Al will spin it like it was his idea so he could spend more time with his foundation or whatever he calls it.

Other hosts will be sacked and more shows will be canceled. There is no question that Sharpton should be fired as well,  but NBC doesn't have the guts to do it.

Stay tuned....

Pervert Weatherman to Plead Guilty to Fraud

Convicted sex offender and former WPTV Weatherman Rob Lopicola was expected to plead guilty to fraud charges today in a federal court.

Gossip Extra reports that the hearing, however, was postponed to April 9 because of spring break vacations in the judiciary.

Lopicola, who was facing 20 years in a prison if he went to trial, is still expected to tell a judge that he conspired with others to defraud hundreds of owners of vacation timeshares to the tune of $14.5 million.

Lopicola, is serving a 56-month sentence for sex with underage boys, was transferred from his Miami area prison to a federal jail in East St. Louis, Ill., to stand trial.

The former hurricane specialist is accused of making calls to timeshare owners for a telemarketing scam based in West Palm Beach and Illinois.

The indictment shows Lopicola, who was fired by WPTV in 2008 after his taste for young men boiled to the surface, called timeshare owners throughout North America through most of 2009 and asked them for $1,000 each to handle sales that didn’t exist.

Lopicola is likely to start serving the sentence for his guilty plea after he’s done with the Florida sex conviction, sometime in November 2016.

Matt Lauer Pranks Ellen

Although it has already gotten old, Matt Lauer and Ellen DeGeneres are continuing to pull pranks on each other like a couple of high school kids.

For his latest prank, Matt Lauer went back to 1995 and loaded DeGeneres car up with ping pong balls, 20,000 of them.

We call bullshit on this prank. How did Lauer's pranksters get the keys to her car? Also, does Ellen always take up two spots when she parks? Plus, the "hidden" camera framing seems a bit to perfect. Don't ya think?

I think the viewers are the ones that these two are pranking.

Just saying....

Sports Anchor Blasts Dallas Cowboys

Let's face it, most local Sports Anchors are scared to death to piss home the home NFL team. Local sports people spend most of the time sucking up to the local NFL team, so they can get access to the team and better food in the press box.

Then there is WFAA's Dale Hanson.

Hanson took the Dallas Cowboys and team owner Jerry Jones to task for signing Greg Hardy. The defensive player that was arrested for assaulting and threatening to kill his girlfriend at the time. Charges were dismissed last month when prosecutors were unable to locate the accuser and she failed to appear in court.

Hanson thinks the cowboys set a very bad example by signing Hardy and he wasn't afraid to say so:

Reporter Saves Pregnant Women Stuck in Snowstorm, while covering story of Another Pregnant Woman Stuck in Snowstorm

This sounds like a story Brian Williams would tell.....

North of the border, Global News reporter Brett Ruskin was covering the story of a pregnant woman, who was in labor and stuck in s snowstorm.

Then a few minutes later, he helped save a pregnant woman that was in labor that was stuck in a snowstorm.

And while he was helping the women, he was tweeting the story as it unfolded.

This guy is Batman.

See how it played out on Twitter after the jump.

Move Over Dr. Nancy Snyderman, Another TV Doctor is Out

Dr. Nancy Snyderman isn't the only TV news Doctor to get kicked to the curb this month.....

Univision 23 in Miami has kicked Dr. Maritza Fuentes to the curb.

Fuentes, who has been Univision for the past 15 years,  was told that she is part of budget cuts and is being let go.

Her last day on air was Monday.

Fuentes told El Nuevo Herald she was taken aback by the news, and although management treated her “very well,” she would not sign a severance package until consulting with her attorney. Besides working for Univision 23, Fuentes produced health stories for several affiliates.

Signing Off in Sioux Falls

Longtime KSFY Anchor Nancy Naeve announced to viewers that she is stepping away from her role as anchor of KSFY Morning News.

Her last day will be Friday, May 15, 2015.

Naeve has been with the station since 1992. Back in May of last year, Naeve made FTVLive for her rant on the newscast at viewers that sent in nasty emails after the station broke into programing for weather coverage,

“Even though it’s been fun to interview celebrities and movers-and-shakers of South Dakota, I most enjoyed covering our ‘everyday heroes,’ people whose face you may not recognize, but without them and what they do for our communities, there would be a huge void,” said Naeve. “I love putting the spotlight on them.”

“Nancy is one of the area’s most recognized faces, not just for her work on KSFY, but for her involvement in the community,” said KSFY News Director Kevin King. “Her passion for helping others, as well as the high standards she sets for herself and others are what make Nancy one of the best journalists I’ve had the pleasure of working with.”

KSFY says they plan to celebrate Naeve accomplishments during the month of May.

Hmmmmm? Isn't that a ratings book?

ABC Cuts a Dozen as it Redefines DC Bureau

ABC News swung the ax at it's DC Bureau, cutting about a dozen positions. But, the network says it will soon be posting new job openings for the very same bureau.

Politico says that the cuts, which will affect operations, editorial and engineering staff, come as ABC News plans to shift from a platform-based structure -- in which reporters were assigned to specific shows -- to a content-based structure, in which reporters are assigned to specific beats and report across platforms.

"Starting today, we launch a new approach to the way we operate, unifying the Bureau into a single team serving every platform within ABC News," Jonathan Greenberger, vice president and DC bureau chief, wrote in a memo.

"As part of this transformation, we will unfortunately have to redefine some jobs and say goodbye to some of our colleagues, as we’ll need fewer people in some operations, engineering and general assignment editorial posts," Greenberger continued. "This decision did not come easily, but we feel it is necessary for the continued strength of our Bureau in a rapidly changing landscape."

The new positions, which will be posted next week, will seek reporters "with in-depth knowledge of specific areas, who are well-sourced in our most important beats," he said. Greenberger said there would be "more than a dozen job openings."
