Leaving the Business

WCIA (Champaign) Anchor/Reporter Jen Lask is leaving the Nexstar station after just over two years.

Lask posted that she is leaving the TV news business altogether.

She becomes the latest to leave the Nexstar station that has been dealing backlash since a report they did back in May. The station came under fire for their coverage of a police officer killed while answering a call.

WCIA did a story that focused on the suspect that killed the officer and his family. Since then the station has parted ways with the News Director, GM, and others.

It appears that Lask has soured on TV news after this incident and is getting out of the business.
