Meredith’s WGCL is moving around some anchors to fill some of the holes left by both Sharon Reed and Thomas Roberts leaving the station.

On Friday, FTVLive told you that Shon Gables was getting bumped up to the main gig.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution Rodney Ho writes that WGCL announced that morning Anchor Tracye Hutchins was moving back to afternoons and co-anchoring the 5 p.m. show with a rotating set of hosts while WGCL seeks a second permanent late afternoon/evening anchor.

Former WXIA morning host Karyn Greer will take over mornings for Hutchins, pairing her with Gurvir Dhindsa, formerly of “Good Day Atlanta” on WAGA.

Greer worked as an evening anchor for CBS in the late 1990s, then spent 15 years with WXIA until 2015.

She was hired by WGCL as an investigative reporter soon after. She later became a noon anchor and handled community affairs. She will continues with both those duties.

Hutchins is the station’s longest-running anchor. She came to CBS46 in 2007 and hosted mornings until 2013. She moved to afternoons, went back to mornings in 2018 and is now back in afternoons.
