Hearst owned WESH has hired a new weekend Anchor and she knows the area well.

She grew up in Orlando.

The station hired Sanika Dange, who was working down the road in West Plam Beach at sister station WPBF.

She will anchor the evening and late-night newscasts on weekends and report during the week.

“WESH 2 has a wonderful reputation. It is an honor to be a part of the team, and I look forward to returning to Central Florida,” Dange said.

She joins the station next month.
