Atlanta Weatherman Bounced

FTVLive FIRST told you on Friday that Meredith owned WGCL was still swinging the blade at the troubled station.

We told you that managing editor Paul Caron and a Operations Manager were sacked along with a Producer.

When the dust settled, WGCL Chief Meteorologist Jim Kosek (pictured) was also kicked to the curb. Kosek had been at the station just under 3 years before he was shown the door.

Meredith sources tell FTVLive that WGCL GM Mark Pimentel is under a lot of heat and this is his last ditch effort by him to save his job.

FTVLive FIRST told you that WGCL had also fired News Director Frank Volpicella after less than a year on the job.

Pimentel has been reaching out to people about the ND job, but so far, no takers.

This is a job that whoever takes it, won't likely last very long.

So it is likely that the ND hire will be someone unemployed or very desperate.
