That Didn't Last Long
/She didn't even make it a year at the Tegna station.
You may remember Jackie Fernandez was working in Cleveland until she was fired.
FTVLIve FIRST told you that Fernandez was sacked from WEWS in Cleveland after the Morning News Anchor posted she was standing in line to get free Jay Z tickets. The Jay Z show was in support of Hillary Clinton.
Fernandez then resurfaced at the very struggling Tegns station, WTSP in Tampa.
The station decided to blow up the morning show and do something that looked nothing like a newscast. They figured Fernandez would be the perfect fit.
But now, less than a year after landing in Tampa, Fernandez has left the station.
She posted this to her social media.
No word what her left coast gig is, but let's hope that it is something that is far, far away from TV news.
That will be better for Fernandez and better for the TV news industry as a whole.
