Photographer Says Sorry for Tripping Migrant

Is she sorry, or is she sorry she got caught?

The Camerawoman that was caught on camera sticking out her leg to trip a migrant as he ran from police while clutching a child to his chest, now says she is sorry

Petra Laszlo says she's not "heartless" and she claims she panicked when she saw people running toward her in a field close to Hungary's border with Serbia.

Fusion Cutting Staff

After two years on-air, Fusion is changing direction. CEO Isaac Lee sent out a memo outlining changes to the network's line-up which includes cutting some shows and making others, 'digital only'.

Lee told the staff they will be focusing on three areas: the 2016 elections, investigative specials and topical comedy.

Is it just me, or does this sound a lot like David Kenny at the Weather Channel?

Veteran Boston Anchor Leaving

One of Boston's most experienced and well-liked anchors, is leaving. After 18 years, Fox 25's Maria Stephanos says it's time to embark on a new adventure.

“While I only had the pleasure to work with Maria for 11 months, I quickly learned her journalistic skill set, newsroom leadership and contributions to the daily editorial process, were second to none,” said FOX25 Vice President and General Manager Tom Raponi.

The Cox press release says her last day at the station is today. She signs off for good after the 11pm newscast. Call me crazy, but this sounds like a contract/money issue. Who leaves all of a sudden after 18 years?

For a complete history of her career, check out New England One.

Hello.....

Hey guys, just wanted to check in and say that I'm doing some behind the scenes tweaking to FTVLive.

No changes will be huge, but it should make the site a bit easier to get around, especially using a mobile device.

While I am doing some work on the code of this site, it is nice to get a bit more sleep and to try and not be attached to my email every second.

I'm back from NY, which was part business and part pleasure trip.

It was great to be back in Western New York for a couple of days. First time back in about 7 years.

Of course, if you've been to Buffalo, then you just know I had to make a Mighty Run (or maybe like 5 or 6 runs).

I'll be back in the saddle on Monday. Big thanks to the FTVLive Intern for throwing up some stories while we enjoy our brief time off.

NBC News Chairwoman Leaving

In an announcement that's no shock to anyone, NBC News Chairwoman Patricia Fili-Krushel is leaving the peacock.

Fili-Krushel

Fili-Krushel

Fili-Krushel was hired in 2012 to oversee NBC's news commodities: NBC News, MSNBC, and CNBC. She recruited the first female network news president when she hired Deborah Turness from Great Britain.

It never was smooth sailing for Fili-Krushel. TODAY Show numbers slid, Nightly News numbers declined, David Gregory lost "Meet The Press", and the network's marquee talent, Brian Williams, couldn't tell the truth.

6-months ago Andy Lack was brought back, and to everyone in the industry, that sealed Fili-Krushel's fate.

Now, who wants to take bets on how long Turness lasts?

"Anchor Monster" at ABC?

Evidently, ABC World News Tonight anchor David Muir isn't making any friends in the news division. His nickname is "Anchor Monster" supposedly because he frequently loses his temper with the crew over being beaten in the ratings by NBC's Lester Holt.

Page Six is reporting that Muir screams at the crew unless ABC News President James Goldston is around. On an open mike he was heard complaining he wanted less of the reporters' voices and more of his own.

Muir's interview with Hillary Clinton, in which she finally apologized for using personal email - tanked in the ratings. Lester Holt had an average of 8.3 million viewers, to Muir's 7.3 million. OUCH!
