Former Good Morning America Anchor Josh Elliott is getting married this weekend to WABC anchor Liz Cho in California.
Page Six says that Elliott is tying the knot with news anchor Cho in Montecito. The TV couple, who were engaged last summer after nearly two years of dating, are planning an intimate ceremony with family and close friends.
A source says: “The wedding will be near Santa Barbara on Saturday night at a private villa that they have rented for a week. It’s not a big showbiz wedding, but a small, romantic affair with their closest friends and family.” Guests expected include former “GMA” weatherman Sam Champion and Cho’s co-anchor, Bill Ritter.
Elliott, 44, proposed to Cho during a romantic 2014 European summer vacation just before Labor Day. “He gave her a simple gold band that was a family heirloom and meant a lot to him,” a source told us at the time.
“It’s been very low-key, and people may not have even realized she was engaged because she’s not wearing a standard diamond engagement ring.” She has been spotted wearing the heirloom gold band on her ring finger.
The two met when Elliott was a co-anchor of ABC’s “GMA” and Cho was at WABC-TV, where she remains and co-anchors weekday editions of “Eyewitness News.” The two tried to keep the relationship secret at first, but it became the talk of ABC’s news division.
Elliott now works for NBC.
If you are keeping track at home, Former NFL Quarterback Kenny Stabler died.
Then he didn't die.
And then he died again.
So, as of now Kenny Stabler is dead.
Check back later when he might be alive again.
A former firefighter that sued Fox News and Anchor Megyn Kelly lost his case.
FNC and Kelly prevailed in a defamation lawsuit filed by a retired Milwaukee area firefighter who came under scrutiny for running in marathons despite receiving duty disability pay for an arm injury he suffered on the job.
A Milwaukee County judge's conclusion: The Fox program "Kelly's Court" isn't an actual news show but rather a mock judicial debate afforded more flexibility to express its opinion.
Aaron Marjala of the North Shore Fire Department was found permanently disabled in 2008 by the State of Wisconsin and independent physicians after suffering nerve damage to his ulnar nerve in his right elbow, commonly referred to as the funny bone, that persisted despite two surgeries.
While collecting the disability payments Marjala, of Waukesha, maintained an active lifestyle that included running in marathons.
In September 2011, Fox's Milwaukee affiliate, Fox 6, reported a story on Marjala, including an interview with Nore Shore Fire Chief Robert Whitaker in which he questioned the conclusion of medical examiners who reviewed Marjala's injury.
A few days later, Kelly picked up on the Fox 6 story, commenting: "The ironman too injured to fight fires, Aaron Marjala, was one of Wisconsin's bravest until he banged his funny bone on a kitchen counter at a Milwaukee firehouse. Oh, the horror."
Milwaukee County Civil Court Judge Jeffrey Conen ruled the "Kelly's Court" audience would recognize the show isn't a straight news program.
"The viewers could independently judge whether the defendant's opinions and comments were reasonable and make up their own mind about the duty disability system and Mr. Marjala's receipt of the benefits," Conen said.
Conen also said Fox News was trying to "illustrate a weakness in Wisconsin's duty disability system" in which Marjala could complete 26.2 mile runs while collecting state payments to help aid his nerve damage.
Defense attorneys Steven Mandell and Natalie Harris of Chicago called Conen's ruling "a victory for free speech."
Former NBC News Anchor Tom Brokaw is not going to talk about Brian Williams, no matter how many times you ask.
Many think that Brokaw played a key role in making sure that Williams did not return to the Nightly Anchor chair.
As for Brokaw's role? He isn't talking.
In and interview with the Daily Beast, Brokaw said, “It’s time to move on,” “I’m not really commenting on it,” “These are all private conversations and I don’t want to go beyond that,” and “I’ve been on both sides of this equation for a long time. I know how persistent you are, but you’re not gonna win this one.”
All he will say is that what’s done is done and he “think[s] the world of” new Nightly News anchor Lester Holt.
So yeah, he totally sandbagged BriWi.

While the media is falling all over themselves to grab and interview with Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, the viewers really could care less.
Case and point, Clinton's interview on CNN barely moved the numbers and the network still finished a distant second to Fox News.
Viewers seemed to be burned out already on the 2016 election and it's still 2015.
If a cable channel had the guts to ignore politics until the middle of next year, we're betting that their ratings would rise.
Of course we will never no, because it will never happen.
But we can dream can't we?
Word is that WTSP News Director Peter Roghaar is stepping down as the news boss, but is staying at the station.
Sources tell FTVLive that Roghaar, who has been at for 5 1/2 years is headed over to the sales department to work as an Account Executive.
Before Tampa, Roghaar spent almost 10 years at WPTV in West Palm Beach.
I get wanting better hours, holidays off and more money, but come on, the sales department?
Talk about moving to the dark side.
You can stick a fork in WDIV's Ruth Spencer, she's done.
Or just about.
Spencer will “sign off” for the last time in December 2015 as she and her husband co-retire to Longboat Key, Florida, where the couple has been building a house.
“I’ve been in television news since 1981 -- spending the last 25 years here at Local 4,” says Spencer. “I’ve felt privileged to serve our loyal viewers as a nightly news anchor and as the consumer investigator heading up the ‘Ruth to the Rescue’ unit."
Spencer was hired at WDIV in 1990 to anchor the early evening newscast and currently solo anchors the station’s number one early newscast “First at 4” and “Local 4 News at 5:30” with Devin Scillian. For 22 years, her “Ruth to the Rescue” franchise has helped viewers resolve their consumer complaints about a business, product, or service.
“I will always feel lucky to have been welcomed by the down-to-earth people of Michigan,” added Spencer. “I find them wise and hard-working. I so appreciate the opportunity that WDIV has given me to come into their homes each night. And I hope that, especially through ‘Ruth to the Rescue,’ I’ve been able to help them in ways that have made a difference for the better in their lives.”

Which WTNH (Hartford) employee "went crazy" because of all the noise from the construction of a new set a while back?
Insiders say that with construction underway in the studio between shows, the staffer "went berserk" due to excessive noise, and began yelling and screaming, then shoved a manager out of the way, to scream at an employee operating a jackhammer. Human Resources was brought into the situation.
Then several days later, there was a verbal altercation between the staffer and News Director Keith Connors, where she left his office, and shouted out in front of the entire newsroom "I quit, today is my last day".
She ended up staying for a short time and quietly exited the station earlier this month.
The station is looking for a replacement.
Hopefully someone that is a bit more calm.
It's just not the same without the pictures:
Cool Dog Pics! NOT lolWhere are the DOG GONE pictures?! Funny moment from Wednesday's newscast. :)

Former KVOA (Tucson) Reporter Angelique Lizarde left the station in 2012 to head to SoCal and KFMB in San Diego.
She then spent some time at XETV in San Diego, but is now headed back to Tucson and KVOA.
Lizarde has been hired as the Weekend Anchor.
“We are very fortunate to get a journalist of Angelique’s caliber back on our news team,” said Cathie Batbie, KVOA News Director. “She has tremendous experience covering big stories and from her previous experience in Tucson she knows the newsworthy issues that matter in southern Arizona.”
“It’s great to have Angelique back in our newsroom,” said Bill Shaw, KVOA General Manager. “She’s experienced covering stories all over southern Arizona and will be a great addition to our weekend anchor team.”
Her first day on-air at News 4 Tucson will be August 3rd.
WFOR has hired Rudabeh Shahbazi as the Anchor of “CBS 4 News This Morning.”
“Rudabeh is a dedicated and accomplished journalist who is passionate about helping her community,” said CBS4 Vice President and General Manger Adam Levy. “She will be a great addition to our team.”
Shahbazi was most recently a multi-media journalist and fill-in anchor at KABC-TV in Los Angeles. Prior to that, she was a multi-media journalist at KNXV-TV in Phoenix, where she received a regional EMMY Award for reporting. She has also worked in Pasco, Washington and Oakland, California.
“I am excited to join the CBS4 team, at a station with a record of quality journalism and investigative reporting.” Shahbazi said. “I also can't wait to call South Florida home, explore all the beauty and culture it has to offer, and become part of the community.”
She starts at the station Aug. 3rd.
It appears that CNN has parted ways with John Walsh, who hosts "The Hunt" on Sundays at CNN.
According to this graphic on CNN's Outfront, John Walsh has been replaced by "Josh" Walsh.
Hope he does as good a job as John did.
Tell me if you have heard this one before?
Keith Olbermann is leaving ESPN.
This is the second (or maybe third) time that Olbermann has left the sports network. Add that to his flame outs at MSNBC and others and you really can't be surprised, can you?
But, you have to give Olbermann credit this time. For the most part he kept his head down and did his job. There were no reports of huge blow ups.
Oh sure, he was suspended a time or two, but all in all he was much better.
7 days ago, FTVLive told you that EPSN was looking to put an end to Olbermann's commentaries. The network got scared when Olby took on the untouchable NFL and wanted to make sure that Olbermann did not bash them again.
Obviously, that did not go over well with the giant ego Anchor and ESPN decided to pull the plug.
But, unlike the other times he left a network, ESPN had some nice things to say about Olbermann as they pushed him out the door.
"Keith is a tremendous talent who has consistently done timely, entertaining and thought-provoking work since returning to ESPN," the network said in a statement. "While the show’s content was distinctive and extremely high quality, we ultimately made a business decision to move in another direction. We wish Keith nothing but the best and trust that his skill and ability will lead him to another promising endeavor.”
Could he now be headed back to MSNBC?
Stay tuned....
A news crew from the CBC was interviewing an Ontario police officer as a road-rage incident was happening right behind them.
CBC's Neil Herland pointed out to the cop that there was a "road rage incident" going on right behind him.
The cop yelled at the two drivers, but they did not seem to hear or acknowledge him.
"Both of you, grow up!" the officer yelled.
That's how they do it in Canada.
Let's go to the video:
