Bill O'Reilly Tells Where The Fox News Anchors Stand Politically

There are some liberals at Fox News, according to Bill O'Reilly.

There are also some straight up Obama bashers at FNC.

O'Reilly was on stage in New York last night talking to Geraldo Rivera (who thankfully had clothes on).

In fact, after watching this clip, I have to admit, I like O'Reilly a little more. I mainly thought he was a giant ego, blowhard and there is no question that he is.

But, he also isn't afraid to nip a bit at the hand that feeds him. And you have to give him some respect for that.

Here's the video:

I Have to Ask you....

.....Do you make $600,000 a year at your station or network?

Did your last story you did for your station or network hit the air back in January?

If not, you need to talk to your boss and get on the Chelsea Clinton plan.

Clinton has not had a piece featured on NBC since the beginning of the year.

But! The network does say that  she has two completed stories to air soon, and two others are in the works.

So, 2 stories done and 2 in the works in 6 months time.

Damn nice gig if you can get it.

Judge Tosses Part of George Zimmerman's Lawsuit Against NBC

The Peacock got some good news Today from a Florida courtroom.

A Florida judge threw out part of lawsuit against NBC by Trayvon Martin killer George Zimmerman.

Zimmerman claimed that NBC defamed him.

Zimmerman's attorneys waited too long under Florida statute to ask NBC to retract what it claimed were libelous statements in a March 19, 2012 broadcast that they said made their client sound like a racist, Seminole County Circuit Judge Debra Nelson ruled.

The statue requires five days written notice identifying potentially libelous statements. A letter claiming the network edited Zimmerman's 911 call to police to make it sound like he was a racist was sent to network executives on Dec. 4, 2012.

NBC apologized on April 3, 2012, for "an error in the production process" and fired a reporter and a producer afterward.

The judge is continuing to look at the lawsuit.

Rob Morrison: It was a Misunderstanding

Former WCBS Anchor Rob Morrison said that he slipped and fell on his cellphone and it accidentally dialed his wife's number 121 times over the Memorial Day Weekend.

Oh wait.... that's not what happened.

Morrison did say that his most recent arrest was a misunderstanding that was blown out of proportion.

121 phone calls? That's what is out of proportion.

Morrison was busted violating a protective order that prohibits him from contacting his wife, Ashley.

"I was a really concerned father who desperately wanted to speak to his son," says Morrison to News 12 Connecticut. "I wasn't having any luck getting through."

I'm thinking that maybe after 21 calls you might get the hint that your wife doesn't want to talk to you and isn't going to answer. But, he decided another 100 calls were needed, you know, just to make sure.

Police records show Ashley Morrison did not want to press charges.

Her attorney told News 12 Connecticut that they have no comment about anything her husband said today.

Let's just hope he has an unlimited calling plan.

Just saying....

Staff Meeting Called at Nervous Vegas Station

A staff meeting was called at KSNV in Las Vegas to discuss the future and the latest rumors about the station.

As FTVLive told you, KSNV owner Jim Rogers died over the weekend and just before his death, suits from Sinclair Broadcasting were seen inside the station.

Many employees fear that the station is going to be sold to Sinclair.

In the meeting yesterday, KSNV GM Lisa Howfield told the staff that Sinclair was in the building not to look at KSNV, but because Sinclair had purchased some other Rogers' station (i.e. Reno) and they were there because in was the headquarters for the company.

She told the staff that Sinclair's visit had nothing to do with them buying KSNV.

Still, many think that Sinclair is still going to make an offer to purchase the station.

Rogers wife Beverly is quoted as saying that she would follow her husband's wishes, which were for the remaining stations to go to "the schools" after she died.

Stay tuned....

Future of Phoenix Station is Uncertain

Another station with a murky future is KTVK in Phoenix.

The stations sale to Meredith should be closed by week's end and many are wondering what will happen to the station's news department?

Staffers and viewers wonder if KTVK, which markets itself as “Arizona’s Family” will maintain a separate news presence or merge with KPHO’s newscasts into one news entity.

Phoenix investor Bill Lewis may be more qualified than most to add a behind-the-scenes perspective. Lewis was a longtime former vice president of KTVK.

“There’s no telling what a big corporation like Meredith is going to do because the reality driving public corporations is shareholder value and cutting costs,” said Lewis to the Phoenix Business Journal.

“In 1999, even though the Tribune Co. was offering a much fatter offer to buy KTVK and KASW, than Belo, it was apparent the Tribune Co. would slim down the newsroom to almost nothing, and run Andy Griffith-type shows,” Lewis said.

Belo, which also was family founded, had promised the Lewis family that it would not terminate any employees for a year,” he said.

“As far as my family knows, they kept their promise,” Lewis said.

As for what happens when Meredith steps in?

Time will tell, but it is almost certain that there will be cuts as they merge operations with KPHO.

Stay tuned....

Fired St. Louis Anchor Returning to the Air

Fired KMOV Anchor Larry Connors is returning to the air and in a surprise to no one, it will be on conservative radio.

The official announcement will come later Today, but Connor's giant ego would not let him sit on the news any longer.

He leaked it out on Facebook. "On June 30, I am taking over the Monday - Friday, 9PM to Midnight slot on KTRS RADIO, The Big 550," Connors wrote.

He also did not rule out a return to TV news. "I'm still working on a tv option, and it is possible that while I'm on in the evening on KTRS, that I could also be on a local tv station. That means that I would be competing against myself. I think ... think ... I could win that battle."

We're fairly sure that Connors enormous ago could handle it.

He says his show will be a mixture of right wing radio. "It will be kind of a mix of Paul Harvey / Andy Rooney with an edge and a blend of Hannity, O'Reilly and others ... including some commentators on the Left."

You may remember Connors was fired for a Facebook post in which he wrongly claimed that he was getting heat from the IRS after his "tough" interview with President Obama.

BTW it should be pointed out, since Connors firing the station's ratings have gone up.

Ouch!

WPIX Quietly Drops Newscast

If you tuned in to watch WPIX's 4 AM newscast you might have been surprised.

The 4:00 news hour on the struggling New York station has been replaced by reruns of the Cosby Show and the Jeffersons.

The newscast was not exactly a ratings hit. The first half hour of the 4 AM show was averaging around 0.5 rating which was on par with the network news shows on WCBS, WNBC, and WABC.

But when the other local station started up their newscasts at 4:30AM, WPIX would drop to the back of the pack in the numbers.

Fox News Beats CNN with Clinton Interview

Hillary Clinton has popped up on just about every station, network, cable network to promote her new book.

On the same day, Clinton was on CNN and Fox News.

So which one did viewers watch?

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Clinton first appeared in an hour-long "Town Hall" on CNN, before splitting a half-hour interview between adjacent Fox News Channel series Special Report with Bret Baier and On the Record with Greta Van Susteren. Despite the truncated time, it was FNC that delivered the bigger ratings — outperforming CNN with nearly four times the audience.

For the half-hour, which aired between 6:45 and 7:15 p.m. ET, FNC averaged a 2 million viewers and 313,000 adults 25-54. For its admittedly very early 5 p.m. Town Hall, CNN pulled 521,000 viewers and 115,000 adults 25-54.

Anchor Says he Didn't Throw Down the F-Bomb

KSPR (Springfield) Anchor Jerry Jacob says he did not throw down the F-Bomb on the newscast and is offering an explanation to what he said.

"Sounded like we just heard an F-bomb by Jerry Jacob on the 6 pm news just now after his making a joke about putting a beach ball on the grill to celebrate the beginning of Summer," one viewer wrote on the KSPR Facebook page Tuesday evening.

Jacob says he was caught off guard when told what viewers heard.

"Had I said that word on the air during the newscast I am pretty certain I would have remembered it. I was there, after all," he wrote. "At the very least I believe I would have noticed that all of my belongings were neatly piled up on Sunshine Street outside the studio."

"What you heard is not what I intended to say," he added. "Nor is it what I said. It simply sounded like I said it."

Jacob said he started to say "Put the beach ball on the grill and fire it up!"

"However, in the middle of my sentence I pulled a quick stop and interrupted myself with a, 'No.' So it came out as 'Put the beach ball on the grill and f, no.'

Jacob wrapped up the Facebook post by apologizing to those who heard the line — and providing a link to the YouTube clip for those who hadn't.

Let's go to the video:
