Well, we now know where CNN's Ali Velshi is headed?
The CNN Chief business correspondent left CNN yesterday and he's headed to Al Jazeera America.
Al Jazeera bought CurrentTV and is getting closer to their launch.
They are starting to pop up on Social Media.

The show posted its best first quarter delivery with a morning news program since 2009 in viewers and since 2011 in households.

On Saturday, Saxenmeyer wanted to do the story about gay Twin Cities fathers Paul Melchert and James Zimmerman being invited to attend the Obama White House’s 2013 Easter Egg Roll with their 3-year-old twins, Emmett and Gabriel.

No matter how NBC tries to spin it and no matter what Jay Leno says, he is not leaving on his own accord.
Back in the 80's, I went to lunch with Jay Leno at a Wendy's on Peoria Ave in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
At the time, Jay was doing stand up and had made a number of appearances on the Tonight Show and on Late Night with David Letterman. For you kids out there, Letterman used to be on NBC.
In those days Leno was known as the hardest working comedian in the business. He would do stand up just about every night.
As we ate our Whoppers, I asked Jay about working so many nights and if he ever got tired?

NBC will cough up about $15 million for Jay Leno as a sweetener to step down from “The Tonight Show” months before his contract with the network expires, industry sources say.
The payoff, about a year’s salary for the late-night comic, is part of his deal with the peacock network to leave the show before his contract expires next September to make way for Jimmy Fallon as the new “Tonight” host.
While the payout sounds steep, it’s peanuts for Leno who rakes in far more money performing standup comedy in Las Vegas.

“Things move so quickly,” Leno added. “Jimmy hasn’t even taken over yet and the rumors have already started … Like NBC says in five years they play to replace Jimmy with Justin Bieber. They are moving too quickly!”
And finally: “Today I accepted a new position; I am going to be the head basketball coach at Rutgers University! Thank you very much!”
In the whole Jimmy and Jay saga, it doesn't look like Leno came out the biggest loser.
That award would have to go to Fallon's former agent.
Page Six writes that Fallon’s former manager, Eric Kranzler of Beverly Hills-based Management 360, is still smarting after Fallon fired him right before he signed the deal to take over NBC’s “The Tonight Show.”

Many people think that TV News Anchors have no heart.
Well, he's proof that they do.
WTVQ (Lexington) Anchor Tom Kenny hasn't been on the air for weeks, because of a problem with his heart.
The station says that Kenny has been resting at home as a result of a heart rhythm problem and other complications.
Doctors are working to correct the problem.
He's expected to be back on the air in about a month.
The family of KOB (Albuquerque) reporter Sharon Erickson is suing Presbyterian Healthcare, alleging negligence in her death.
Erickson, who was 30, went to Presbyterian in September 2011 to have her pacemaker replaced. She died three days later.
The lawsuit alleges, among other things, that doctors did not have appropriate equipment on hand during surgery and did not call in the right specialists when there were complications.
Presbyterian released a statement to KOB Eyewitness News 4 with no comment on the lawsuit, saying their thoughts are with Sharon Erickson’s family.

After 2 1/2 years WXIX anchor Ben Swann said he's leaving the station at the end of the May book.
Swann come to the station from El Paso in 2010 to replace Dan Carroll as Tricia Macke’s co-anchor. Swann was only the third main co-anchor since Channel 19 started news in 1993 with Jack Atherton.
