Reporter's Family Sues Hospital

The family of KOB (Albuquerque)  reporter Sharon Erickson is suing Presbyterian Healthcare, alleging negligence in her death.

Erickson, who was 30, went to Presbyterian in September 2011 to have her pacemaker replaced. She died three days later.

The lawsuit alleges, among other things, that doctors did not have appropriate equipment on hand during surgery and did not call in the right specialists when there were complications.

Presbyterian released a statement to KOB Eyewitness News 4 with no comment on the lawsuit, saying their thoughts are with Sharon Erickson’s family.
