NBC to Oust News Director at O&O

It appears that one NBC O&O News Director has been told that his time is short and he will soon be out. 

Sources tell FTVLive NBC has begun looking for a new ND to replace KNTV (San Francisco) News Director Jonathan Mitchell. 

Mitchell has overseen the news at NBC Bay Area since 2010, coming from KHQ in Spokane, WA. Sources tell FTVLive that Mitchell has been quietly applying for other jobs, so it would appear that he knows NBC is looking to replace him. 

No word yet on a time-lime, but NBC is actively looking for their next ND in San Francisco. Which by the way, was named FTVLive's worst market to work in.
