She Knows it's Ratings...Right?

It seems that Kelly Osbourne was upset following her appearance on “Today” yesterday.

Osbourne begged producers not to include questions about her late E! colleague Joan Rivers during an interview.

But it's sweeps month, so they did anyway.

Page Six says that Osbourne made clear to “Today” brass she wouldn’t talk about her former “Fashion Police” co-star during an appearance to promote a clothing line. But a source told us that while Osbourne was in a makeup chair before the interview, a “Today” producer appeared to inform her the anchors would ask about Rivers.

“Kelly begged her, ‘Please don’t ask about Joan, I’m here to talk about my clothing line,’” the source said, adding that the producer told Osbourne if she didn’t feel comfortable answering, “We won’t do the segment.”

Another source countered that Osbourne was advised she would be asked about Rivers, but “No one threatened to pull her from the show.”

But while on with Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Tamron Hall and Natalie Morales, the purple-haired designer was visibly uncomfortable when asked about Rivers.

“It’s something, to be honest with you, I really don’t like talking about,” she said before appearing with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, who again asked about Rivers. Osbourne called her “the grandmother I never had,” then, “Please can we move on so I don’t cry?”

An NBC rep told us: “We think Kelly is a great guest and we love having her on the show.”
