Yesterday, we showed you the video of WDSU (New Orleans) LaTonya Norton interviewing 2 Time Olympic Gold Medalist Mo Farah and not having a clue who he was.

The 5,000m and 10,000m gold medalist was being interviewed by Norton yesterday after winning the New Orleans half-marathon when she asked him: "Haven't you run before? This isn't your first time?"

The interview quickly went viral and Farah should be commended for handling it so well. He's also sticking up for Norton.

Farah tweeted: "Just wanna say to everyone being nasty to LaTonya Norton please stop!! She made a mistake like we all do!! She didn't mean anything by it!"

A statement from WDSU said: "We express our sincere apology to Mr Farah and his many fans who may have been offended by our error.
