Dropping the Ball in Minneapolis

When breaking news hit in Minneapolis, with multiple people shot including two police officers, one station was asleep at the switch.

Both KSTP and KARE stayed with the story instead taking the evening network newscasts. KMSP was already in local, as they regularly are at 5:30.

But, WCCO (the only station with studios actually in Minneapolis) sent it off to the CBS Evening News, leaving the Twin Cities viewers flipping the channel.
