The Friends Channel

With a number of Nexstar stations losing their CBS affiliation, it was interesting to see how they filled the time.

Nexstar’s WIAT in Birmingham has added a whole lot of Friends. In fact, on Monday the station aired 5 hours of Friends reruns, with a large chunk of that in prime time.

Nexstar’s WSPA appeared to be adding at least 3 more hours of news. I’m going to guess that while they added more news, they didn’t add anyone to the newsroom staff.

Looking at WJTV (Jackson) schedule on the station’s website on Monday. The station still had the CBS eye in their logo and still had CBS programing listed.

KRQE (Albuquerque) seems to be going all in on game shows.
