White Out in Roanoke?

At Gray’s WDBJ (Roanoke), Weekend Anchor Tynisha Jackson announced via her facebook page that she is leaving the station at the end of August.

Insiders say that Jackson is the third Black on-air talent to exit the station in the past month.

One source tells FTVLive that WDBJ News Director Mark Ginther hired 9 new employees in June.

Of those hires, the source says that 8 of the 9 hired are White and 1 was Middle Eastern.

The Trump administration had done away with federal DEI requirements and it appears at least one Gray station is doing the same.
