Well, Look What Changed....

A few days ago, in a Patron Only story, FTVLive told you how WOFL (Orlando) Reporter Marley Capper took to social media to show that she voted in Florida’s primary election.

Capper included a picture of her ballot, which clearly shows that she is a Republican.

“In a primary election where Florida is a closed-primary state, showing off a specific party’s ballot isn’t subtle, and it isn’t ambiguous. It tells every single viewer exactly how you are registered,” FTVLive wrote in our story, adding, “If you are a working television news reporter asking viewers to trust you as an objective, unbiased journalist, there are a few basic rules you are taught on day one of J-school. Rule #1: Do not publicly showcase your political party affiliation.

Well, after FTVLive’s story, Capper went in and changed her post. Gone were her well-done nails holding on to her GOP ballot.

Her post now just shows her with an “I voted” sticker.

While we are happy to see she made the change, it is concerning that a journalist in the Orlando market had to be told that this post wasn’t cool.

By the way, if you think that Capper or WOFL reached out to thank us for pointing out the credibility lapse, well, you can think that, but it never happened.
