Sleepy Don Attacks Journalists at WHCD

It was quite the scene at the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.

President Donald Trump took the stage for a rambling, off-script speech that went on for over an hour, treating the ballroom of TV journalists and lawmakers less like a press gala and more like one of his campaign rallies.

As the insults piled up, many of Trump's jokes fell flat with the crowd, drawing polite titters and awkward silence across the room. At one point during the evening, Trump even appeared to fall asleep at the dinner table before heading up to deliver his remarks.

During his speech, he once again went after CNN's Kaitlan Collins — who was one of the night’s award honorees — attacking her and telling her she needs to smile more.

I'm still not sure why the White House Correspondents would invite a person that has done as much as any other person in the world, to discredit the job that Journalists do. This would be the last person I would invite to a dinner that honors Journalists, but hey, that's just me.
