Signed on in Chicago

It wasn’t that long ago that Nexstar put a number of people at WGN in Chicago out of work.

It now seems as if the company is hiring gain in the Windy City.

Bryant McCray, who spent two years at Tegna’s WKYC in Cleveland and just two years at a station in Milwaukee, announced that he has landed at WGN.

Before the Milwaukee job, he was an account manager at Louis Vuitton.

The resume seems a bit thin for a Journalist in Chicago, but then again, these days, the hire seems to be on point. Younger = cheaper.

My guess is that McCray is making nowhere close to what those that were laid off were making.
