In a post, WVLT Met Megan Duzmal and Reporter Caroline Muller set out to see if the Audio Booth is truly sound proof.

You would think that TV news people would know that a recording booth is NOT supposed to be completely soundproof. In reality, standard vocal and audio booths are primarily designed for acoustic treatment, not soundproofing.

While soundproofing aims to stop sound from traveling between rooms, acoustic treatment focuses on managing how sound behaves inside the room to make the recording crisp, clear, and professional.

Then again, some don’t understand that.
