Leaving the Nexstar Ship

Tampa sources tell FTVLive that on-air talent is jumping ship at Nexstar’s WFLA.

“Lead anchor Keith Cate is retiring and leaving in May. Veteran reporter Jeff Patterson just left the station and weekend anchor Allyson Henning is also departing. At least two other reporters and one anchor are also actively interviewing elsewhere and a handful of producers are job hunting too,” the source tells FTVLive.

Word is that many have become fed up with Nexstar’s lack of pay raises, or just a very small raise, as the reason for the exits.
