Nexstar Cans Reporter After Video Surfaced

A Nexstar Reporter caught on a doorbell camera appears to have been fired from the station.
Last week, FTVLive showed you video of KXAN (Austin) Reporter Taylor Alanis, who appeared to be trying to force open the door of Austin mass shooting suspect Ndiaga Diagne’s apartment.
The video shows Alanis turning the handle and pushing forcibly on the door. It appears another station employee is recording video of her on a phone.
After we posted the story, Alanis’ bio was pulled from the KXAN website, and the replaced page reads "Taylor left KXAN in March 2026."
No word on what happened to the other employee who was with her.
