Nexstar Guts Promotions Departments

The Nexstar cuts have been continuing as the company has been gutting the Promotions Departments at most (all) of their stations.

FTVLive has heard from several stations in which most of the people in Creative Services had been told they are out of work.

We have heard that many stations seem to be keeping only one person on staff and letting the rest go.

Insiders say that Nexstar is looking to use hubs for the CSDs, something that Tegna started doing months ago.

Nexstar is very close to closing on the Tegna deal and it appears that they are signing onto Tegna’s past plan of gutting those in Promotions.

Once the deal goes through, you will see many more jobs cut as Nexstar consolidates operations.
