Is Perry Looking to Buy a Station in Pittsburgh?

There are rumblings that Perry Sook and the Nexstar gang are not yet done buying.

Sources say Perry Sook loves football, specifically the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Sook is a longtime fan and insiders tell FTVLive that he wants to own a television station in the Steel City.

WPXI is owned by the hedge fund Apollo and they seem interested in selling stations. So, that could certainly be an option.

But, we hear that Sook has his sights set on CBS O&O KDKA.

CBS has the prestige of being the first TV station in the country. Also, CBS parent company Paramount is looking to pay down a large debt. Don’t be surprised if they would not joyfully sell the station.

Word is that Sook has a dream of sitting in a luxury suite, watching the Steelers play. If he owns a TV station in the Burgh, that dream might become a reality.
