They are Leaving in Droves in Phoenix

The shifting landscape of local television news in the Grand Canyon State continues to claim casualties, with a steady stream of veteran journalists walking away from corporate-backed stations.

At Gray owned KPHO/KTVK, Simone Cuccurullo, David Caltabiano, Whitney Clark and Yetta Gibson are all leaving. The station has over than 10 job listings in the news department.

Judging by the mistake that the Gray station made, it appears that Charly Edsitty is joining the station as an Anchor. The station put up Edsitty’s name in a font, although that was not Charly Edsitty sitting at the desk.

Edsitty recently signed off at KTRK in Houston.

After the station put up Edsitty’s name, they quickly rushed out a press release to announce her new hiring at the station.
