There Goes the Objectivity at this Nexstar Station

Nexstar’s WHO in Des Moines had Jackie Schmillen anchoring the station’s morning newscast last week.

Schmillen used to anchor at WOI, but left the station back in 2022.

Her full-time job now is Director of Public Affairs for the Iowa National Guard.

Can anyone remember another example of a public employee filling in as a newscaster.

WHO13 also has several people listed online as “anchor” or “contributor” but she isn’t one of them.
