3 and Out in Houston

Anchor DaLaun Dillard is stepping away from The Firm’s KRIV Houston.

Dillard, who has spent the last three years anchoring the morning and noon newscasts at the station, announced his departure to viewers, indicating his final broadcast will be Friday, October 23, 2026.

During his three-year run at the station, Dillard became a familiar face to morning viewers across the market after joining the KRIV news team in late 2023 following his previous work in Cleveland. Taking to social media, he shared his appreciation for the local audience: "Houston, I genuinely struggle to find the words to describe just how much I love this city. How much I love Y'ALL."

He thanked viewers for embracing him both on and off the air and giving him the freedom to simply be himself. Dillard has not yet announced his next career stop.
