Just Another Example

When you watch much of today’s TV news, you get the feeling that most of the adults have left the room, and we are stuck with these people who rather do “me TV” then practice Journalism.

One Journalist who reads FTVLive sent along this take about CNN’s Headline Express.

I've come to enjoy CNN Headline Express, which airs at 7 a.m. and is repeated. Great producing! (And it's free!)

But the anchor Brad Smith isn't fit for the job. No screw-ups with the news this morning; just his judgment. 

Sports is important to him and this morning, he wore a Philadelphia 76ers uniform for the sports segment. He even held it up at the end of the newscast. (What are New York Knicks fans supposed to think? Those teams compete tonight.)

Moments before, the last story was dramatic video of a hero cop rescuing three people from a fire. We should all be in awe, right?

But every damn day, Smith makes a face and throws away his scripts, like he was on Letterman or something! Complete disrespect from the news anchor, and I wonder who has to pick those scripts up!

He should be replaced.
