Another Nail in the CBS News Coffin

On Sunday, CBS aired the AFC championship game, which is a guarantee of massive ratings.

You would think that CBS would have aired a new episode of 60 Minutes after the game, and in the past, that is exactly what would have happened.

There were so many stories that could have been covered by 60 Minutes. You had another U.S. citizen killed by ICE in Minnesota. You had protests in Minneapolis, and across the country involving hundreds of thousands of people.  Donald Trump was mocked in Davos over his obsession with Greenland. And, measles is spreading in South Carolina at numbers that haven’t been seen in decades.

CBS News brass decided none of that was worthy of a new 60 Minutes episode after an NFL game that was bringing in some of the highest ratings for all of 2026.

This is how far CBS News has fallen under their new leadership.
