You Took That Time Out of Your Newscast?

The CBS Evening News has about 22 minutes of news time during the newscast. Take out the open, the bumps and it is more like 20 minutes.

In today’s world, with the United States invading other countries, kidnapping world leaders, shooting US citizens and taking over our cities, you would think there is no time to put a “kicker” in the newscast.

Yet, CBS Evening News, took up nearly a minute and a half of that news time to tell viewers about an Austrian cow named Veronika.

I really wish I was making this up.
