Another Tegna Anchor Heads for the Exit

WFAA morning anchor Marc Istook is leaving the Dallas station, with his final broadcast scheduled for Feb. 20. Istook, a Fort Worth native who joined the station in 2019, announced his departure on Monday.

WFAA is owned by Tegna. Istook is just the latest in a string of anchors to exit the station group ahead of the company's pending acquisition by Nexstar.

In a social media post, Istook called the move "the close of a great chapter and the start of a new one."

As has become the norm these days, he did not say what he will be doing next. He just teased for people to stay tuned on that.
