Tomorrow Could Be D-Day for The TV Industry

Tomorrow, the FCC will be meeting to review of its broadcast ownership rules and seek public comment on whether, given the current state of the media marketplace, it should retain, modify, or eliminate any of these rules.

This could see a company, such as Nexstar go from reaching 39% of the country to 80% or more.

If the FCC relaxes ownership rules, Nexstar would have a lot of power when it comes to ad rates, retransmission and dictating their message to the American viewer.

Will have to see where it goes, but the future doesn’t look very bright.

Just saying…
