Gray Fudges the Facts on Latest Buy

FTVLive told you that Gray Media is buying the Block stations for a total of $80 million.

In talking about the sale, which includes WLIO in Lima, Ohio. Highlighting the strength of the acquired asset Gray said, WLIO had the highest all-day ratings among television households in their market during 2024, according to Comscore.

Here’s we he have to add a BUT, and it is a big but.

What Gray didn’t mention is NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX are all run out of WLIO (they air all the networks).  So yes, they are buying the top rated station in the market. But, they are also buying the lowest rated station in the market.

Just think they should be pointed out.
