It Launches Today

WBMA (Birmingham) Meteorologist James Spann might get a bit nervous in front of the camera today.

That would be rare for a guy that has stood in front of a camera for decades, but this time it is different.

At Noon today, Spann’s own Alabama Weather Network will start streaming.

It will be a 24/7 streaming weather channel for all of Alabama. In a short time, Spann found space, built a set, hired staff and is ready to run his own weather network.

Here’s hoping it is a great success.
