Tegna Drops the Ball in San Antonio

A couple of weeks ago, FTVLive told you how Tegna added a bunch of new vice presidents of content at the company.

I’m guessing the new VP’s decided not to work on the holiday weekend.

Watching the news in San Antonio and you see that KSAT and WOAI are streaming non-stop coverage of the catastrophic floods in the state.

But, Tegna’s KENS coverage has been weak.

On Saturday morning, KSAT and WOAI were all over the flooding, while KENS was airing a replay of their 6AM newscast which looked like any other weekend newscast.

At 5PM on Saturday.

KSAT was covering the floods.   

As was WOAI.

But, KENS was running a fireworks story from sister station, KING Seattle.

You would think with all those VP’s of content, Tegna might be a bit better at covering, you know, content.
