R.I.P.

Longtime Charleston, WV anchorman Tom McGee, known by many as the local Ron Burgundy, died on Sunday at the age of 78.

McGee anchored the evening news in Charleston from the 1980s until the 2000s  He served two separate stints at WCHS-TV and also anchored at WOWK-TV.

His final broadcasting assignment saw him anchor the 6pm and 10pm newscasts for the short-lived news operation at WHCP-TV, the WB affiliate.

After the WB News operation folded, McGee entered law school at WVU and started a successful career in personal injury law as his second act.
