Miami News Crew Attacked

A crew from WPLG in Miami was doing the old “dirty dining” story and one restaurant employee wasn’t very happy about it.

WPLG Reporter Jeff Weinsier and Photographer Frank Debesa were assaulted while looking into a local eating establishment with a long history of health code violations.

Ma’am, can we talk to someone about the inspection?” Weinsier asked a restaurant employee.

Shortly after the question was asked, a man storms out of the kitchen, shoves Debesa’s camera, grabs at Weinsier’s microphone and physically confronts them before being detained by another employee

The news crew was not harmed and they did not file charges.

The restaurant remains open and still serving up food.
