Weighing in on Tegna...

In the email they say, “Local news is crucial to the success of our communities and our country, and it is in peril.”
Yeah.. because you put it there. For whatever reason you (TEGNA) decided to stop doing the thing that brought so many of your stations success for so many years: just giving people straight up news delivered in a concise and professional tone by respected journalists. For whatever reason you thought it would be a good idea to do the weird and unserious stuff that you’re doing now and that people don’t like. That’s why local news is in peril.
Email:

Here’s the bottom line, the stock price is below $17 a share. If you work for Tegna, run!
And if you believe all jobs are safe, you probably believed them when they said that last time, before all the cuts.
Email:
The CEO actually sent a memo that says...
"Dear everyone who makes news for TV....
We will not make news for TV".
Do I have that right?
Wow
