The Allen Media Bosses are Coming to Town

Insiders at Allen Media’s KIMT/Mason City-Rochester, say some AMG suits are coming to town on Monday.

Our source says that “Allen Media EVP Chris Young (He does not hold the title of president, per the Allen Media Broadcasting website) and SVP of Finance Natasha Prewitt is dropping into KIMT for a visit and lunch meeting.”

Station insiders are a bit stumped by the visit as all the AMG stations are on the block. “And why would the finance officer tag along? Certainly not to give us raises,” said one station staffer.

Most KIMT staff is located in Rochester (including all 8 news people.), while Master Control, Creative Services, some sales and half of traffic remains in Mason City.

Sources say there have been discussions about moving the remainder up to Rochester several times in the past but nothing has happened.

“AMG can barely pay their bills to purchase basic supplies for the offices. I can't see them coughing up the millions to build out a new master control infrastructure”, said a source.

Maybe they are bringing company with some deeper pockets?
