No Live Stream, But...

On Friday, FTVLive told about how Baylee Martin of WTRF in Wheeling, WV goes on TikTok throughout the newscast and interacts with viewers during commercial breaks and at other times.

After we posted that story, we heard from a staffer at another Nexstar station that has ties to the story.

“Saw your article about the Nexstar station in Wheeling. Funny thing is, our new GM at WEHT (Evansville) is from that station. Now our nightside anchors go live on Tiktok during the shows. Funny we don't stream our newscasts but we do TikTok lives.”

Yes, remember that Nexstar reach a deal with cable providers to not stream the newscasts in many of their markets. Yet, you can watch the anchors live streams on TikTok.

So, isn’t this violating the Nexstar policy?
