This is Tegna...

Both KDFW (FOX) & WFAA (Tegna) have studios & newsrooms in Downtown Dallas.

On Sunday night at 10:20pm a man in a car in Downtown Dallas was killed by a shooter who made off with the victim's car.

By 5:55 AM, KDFW had a story posted to their website that included pictures of an active crime scene and details about the crime.

Four hours after KDFW posted their story (according to the timestamps on Google News attached)  the Dallas PD released a News Release about the murder with few details (omitting the fact the victim had been shot in his car, which was then stolen by the shooter, as reported by KDFW.

An hour later (four minutes after NOON - acccording to the timestamp of their story) WFAA reported the murder on its website, with no more information than the DPD had released - along with a stock photo from Adobe of a generic police car.

It appears WFAA missed the story altogether (even though - like the crime scene - their newsroom & studios are in Downtown Dallas) until, that is somebody noticed the DPD news release issued well over 12 hours after the murder happened.

Before being taken over by Tegna, WFAA was one of the premier stations in the country. That is no longer the case.
