Scripps Guts Norfolk

FTVLive has been telling you how Scripps has been making cuts all week long at WTKR in Norfolk. .

So far the body count looks like this. An anchor, 3 Reporters, 6 Producers, 3 Photographers, 2 production people have all been cut.

But, it doesn’t end there.

Insiders tell FTVLive that the newsroom was told that the 11PM newscast will be turned into an anchorless show and it will just be packages strung together.

“A very impersonal newscast with no anchor is a joke. That will really lower ratings. Morale at WTKR is down bad,” said one station insider to FTVLive.

To be honest, with all these cuts and such a diluted product, why even do news at all?
