Back in May of 2022, FTVLive told you that Scripps announced that they had hired Kathy Reynolds to be their News Director at WPTV in West Palm Beach.

Reynolds came from Tegna’s WUSA in DC.

A source tells FTVLive that Reynolds has exited the Palm Beach station. “During her time as ND, she gutted a large percentage of the newsroom staffers + a lot of legacy employees decided to leave on their own…” said the insider.

FTVLive checked the WPTV website and Reynolds is still listed as the News Director. We called her office and while we didn’t get an answer, Reynolds voice is still on the outgoing message.

So, is she gone or not?

Either the insider has wrong information, or WPTV is bad at updating the website and the communications at the station.
