Bye-Bye in Burlington
/Gary Sadowsky, Chief Meteorologist at WCAX in Burlington, has announced his retirement. Sadowsky, who joined Channel 3 in 1992, has been a key figure in Vermont's weather reporting for over three decades. Known for his Doozometer and other unique weather-related insights, Sadowsky has also guided the team through significant weather events, including recent flooding and windstorms.
In 2023, Sadowsky was named Chief Meteorologist and was later inducted into the Vermont Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame in November, joining other prominent Channel 3 meteorologists like Stuart Hall and Sharon Meyer. Sadowsky’s final day at WCAX will be Friday, March 21.
Jess Langlois will step into the role of Chief Meteorologist following Sadowsky’s departure. Viewers are encouraged to submit farewell messages via the station's website or mobile app, with the chance for their videos to be featured on Channel 3 News.
