Under his leadership, KBMT-KJAC experienced significant growth, expanding its digital and streaming platforms, strengthening its position as a market leader, and earning recognition for award-winning journalism, including a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Breaking News. Treviño expressed his excitement about the transition, emphasizing his commitment to innovation, community engagement, and WKYC’s continued success.
His career path includes time as vice president and general manager at KDAF in Dallas-Fort Worth, where he launched the live multi-platform show Morning After. He also held key leadership roles with NBCUniversal Local at KXTX-Telemundo39 and KXAS-NBC5 in Dallas-Fort Worth.
