Trump Tees Off on Fox News

Even if you suck up to Donald Trump 98% of the time, it doesn’t mean he still won’t turn on you.

Trump launched a stunning public attack against his longtime favorite news outlet, Fox News, on Saturday morning after the network's flagship program, Fox & Friends, featured a financial commentator critical of his economic policies. The incident puts the usually cozy relationship between the President and the conservative media giant under scrutiny.

The conflict began when Fox & Friends hosted stockbroker and financial commentator Peter Schiff. Schiff has become an increasingly vocal critic of the President, specifically challenging the administration for dismissing voter concerns about the mounting cost-of-living crisis, including inflation, job losses, and affordability.

Taking to Truth Social, the President immediately unleashed his fury, making the network the target of his ire.

“Either the show made a mistake, or it is heading in a different direction,” Trump wrote, indicating a potential shift in his loyalty to the conservative powerhouse. He demanded accountability from the show's staff, urging them to investigate “the ‘booker’ who put this jerk on!”

The public lashing is rooted in a fundamental economic disagreement. Trump claimed that Schiff “thinks prices are going up when, in fact, they are coming substantially down,” a defense and lie that the President frequently employs.

Trump dismisses "affordability" as a Democratic "hoax" which it is not.

The question is will Fox News hold their own, or will they bend a knee to Trump and ease up on bringing anyone that is crtical of Trump, on FNC?
