Tegna Employees Talking about a Sick Out

Insiders at Tenga’s WTSP in Tampa say that morale has not been good at the station for quite some time. But, now a few employees are telling FTVLive that it is at an all-time low.

“Staff frustration has escalated following recent bonus decisions. TEGNA awarded bonuses to 11 stations, yet Tampa was not included in that group. Management has failed to address this discrepancy or explain the criteria behind the decision, leaving employees feeling overlooked and undervalued,” said one staffer to FTVLive, adding, “As a result, there is now open discussion among staff about a potential sick-out.”

How bad is it?

One employee had to use a handoff note to their co-workers to announce it was their final day at the station, because management didn’t say anything.
