Bumped Up In Raleigh

WRAL-TV, the NBC affiliate in Raleigh, North Carolina, announced today that Michelle Mackonochie has been promoted to the station’s evening anchor lineup. The change is scheduled to take effect on Monday, January 5.

Mackonochie, who has been with WRAL for five years, will join the anchor desk for several key evening broadcasts. Her new schedule will pair her with two of the station’s veteran anchors:

  • Dan Haggerty for the 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. newscasts.

  • Gerald Owens for the 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts.

Mackonochie is known to WRAL viewers for her work covering breaking news from the station's Live Center.
